Stop doing the daily job-hunt grind by hand

An AI agent scans job posts, drafts your emails and fills your forms. You review and press send.

Job Apply Kit · 45-minute beginner workshop · Windows, macOS, Linux · take-home: docs/workshop/GUIDE.md

After this session you can run the kit yourself

1

Explain it

What the kit automates and what stays with you.

2

Set it up

Tools, browser, Google access and your config.

3

Run and review

One scan, then check every draft.

Bring with you

  • A laptop (Windows, macOS or Linux)
  • A Google account
  • Your CV (PDF or Google Doc)
  • Logins: Facebook, LinkedIn, BDJobs

The agent fills and stages applications, but never submits

Fill it in. Stage it at the Submit button. Stop.

✉ Emails

Saved as Gmail drafts, never sent.

▣ Forms

Left open at the final Submit button.

☝ You

You review and press every button.

One documented exception: the BDJobs portal Apply button, inside bdjobs-full-run only.

Saving Facebook posts while scrolling feeds the automation

1

Join job groups

Search “career”, “job vacancy”, “CSC jobs”. Join 20 to 30 groups.

You
2

Save every job post

Visit each group once a day and tap Save on good posts.

You
3

Agent reads your saved list

It takes the last 20 to 25 items and skips ones already in your Sheet.

Agent
TipSave first, apply later. The agent handles the applying.

Short LinkedIn search queries find fresh posts; long ones return nothing

Software Developer AND (Hiring OR Vacancy)
AND (Dhaka OR Bangladesh)
  1. Open LinkedIn search, choose Posts
  2. Sort by Latest
  3. Remote? Add (Remote OR Hybrid)
WarningLinkedIn has a length limit. Do not chain every query with AND. Keep several short ones.
TipUpload your CV to any chat model and ask it to write queries for your roles.

BDJobs keywords find jobs that category browsing misses

Wrong category

An agro farm may hire a developer but pick “Agro”. Category browsing never shows it.

Paid ads on top

The first results can be priority ads. Scroll past them.

Email drafting, browser automation and CV generation work together

✉

Email drafting

A Gmail draft per job, plus a Sheet row and a Drive PDF.

Needs · Google sign-in
◎

Browser automation

Opens sites, scrolls, reads posts and fills forms.

Needs · debug browser
▤

CV generation

CV, resume and cover letter from your own templates.

Needs · PDF tools

Say one phrase and the matching skill runs

Setup is thirteen steps in four phases, and the agent guides each one

Install one agent app, then clone the kit into your home folder

  1. Install OpenCode (free models) or Claude Code
  2. Open a terminal (Windows: Git Bash)
  3. Clone the kit, open the folder
PowerShell
winget install --id SST.OpenCodeDesktop -e
winget install --id Git.Git -e
Git Bash
cd ~ && git clone <repo-url> job-apply-kit
cd job-apply-kit
Terminal
npm i -g opencode-ai@latest
cd ~ && git clone <repo-url> job-apply-kit
cd job-apply-kit
Terminal
npm i -g opencode-ai@latest
cd ~ && git clone <repo-url> job-apply-kit
cd job-apply-kit

Two prompts start the whole setup

Prompt 1

“I am new to this project. What should I install or customize, and how do I get started?”

Prompt 2

“Install everything you can.”

The agent then follows docs/BOOTSTRAP.md. OpenCode app: Add Project. Claude Code: run claude inside the folder.

A debug-mode browser lets the agent use your logged-in sessions

  1. Agent creates a desktop shortcut
  2. Close all browser windows
  3. Double-click the shortcut
  4. Log in once: Facebook, LinkedIn, BDJobs, Google
WarningThe debug port exposes cookies to local malware. Use the shortcut only while the agent runs.

Google Cloud gives the agent safe access to Gmail, Drive and Sheets

3

Hand it over

Tell the agent where the file is. It stores it outside the repo.

Never share it
✔ gmail.send is left out on purpose, so the kit can only draft.

Four Google gotchas cause most setup failures

🔒 Never share the JSON

The client file and tokens are password-equivalent. Never commit them.

⏳ 7 days unused

Testing-mode tokens expire. Sign in again; daily use keeps it alive.

🔗 IDs are in URLs

✨ Missing folder or Sheet?

The agent offers to create them (sheet_init.py).
